HRG Sports Europe Golf Trophy 2019

Legends in sports swing the golf club for child protection

For the fifth year in a row, the sport world met for the HRG Sports Europe Golf Trophy on August 13, 2019 in the Golf Club Neuhof near Frankfurt. For many of the 120 guests, the friendly golf tournament with subsequent raffle for the good cause has become a tradition. Customers and business partners of HRG Sports Europe, the expert for sports, business and leisure travel as well as events, were invited.

Among the guests from sport and economy were player and coach legends as well as current players and coaches from football and handball. Among other local greats such as Sebastian Rode, Uwe Bein, Bernd Hölzenbein, Andreas Möller, Berti Vogts, Klaus Allofs, Rainer Bonhof and handball world champion Kurt Klühspies appeared on the 18-hole golf course. In the evening, Rudi Völler and Dr. Friedrich Curtius joined the golf players. The end of the tournament was a cozy get-together as well as a charity raffle in favor of the Kinderhilfestiftung Frankfurt. The famous sport journalist Jörg Wontorra led the dinner on the terrace of the golf club.

With the donated amount of 10,000 Euros HRG Sports Europe supported the project work of the medical child protection clinic at the University Hospital Frankfurt. 24 hours a day, seven days a week, the child-protection clinic treats young patients suspected of psychological, emotional and physical abuse, neglect or sexual abuse. Cooperation with other institutions such as the youth welfare office and the police is tight.

Katja Schüßler, Managing Director of HRG Sports Europe said: "The examinations in the child protection clinic require a very special sensitivity of the specially trained physicians. They are time-consuming and cost-intensive and are only possible with important financial help. Against this backdrop, HRG Sports Europe is actively involved in the Charity Golf Tournament every year for the Kinderhilfestiftung and this year for the important project of the Child Protection Outpatient Center.
